Traditional family character
Located in the heart of Yonne, this family-run estate has been carrying on a winemaking tradition since 1858. For nearly two centuries, it has been passed down from one generation to the next, ensuring a unique expertise and an authentic passion for the vine. Under the leadership of Gérard Persenot, who took over in 1978, the estate has successfully combined tradition and modernity while respecting the richness of its terroirs.
His tenacity and consistency led his to take over the old winery and adapt the vineyards they had in the area to express all the potential of the terroir in a bottle of wine. The wine cellar that he built himself takes place in this lovely village of Saint-Bris Le Vineux, a village located next to Chablis.
